Psychological stress can have serious complications, especially when it derives from previous trauma.. Over the last several years, in my capacity as a Mental Health Clinician with EMDR training and advanced training in other forms of trauma counseling, I have worked passionately toward helping people rebuild their lives. The power to achieve balance comes from within each of us. My role as a therapist is to help remove the obstacles caused by trauma in a nonjudgmental way, helping patients to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky with an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I have concentrated my training in advanced EMDR and have been absolutely amazed time and again by the life-changing results of this highly effective modality. EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a breakthrough therapy, which results in faster, more effective treatment with lifelong-lasting effects.  In addition to EMDR, as an existential counselor, I specialize in expressive arts, trauma-sensitive body work, mindfulness practices, and cognitive behavior therapy.

Most of my experience is in working in local non-profit agencies, and I am excited to expand my services in a private practice setting. I also enjoy conducting community awareness trainings on the subjects of trauma and EMDR.

Compassionate and nonjudgmental, I have a multitude of advanced training and experience in treating trauma-related psychological stress and its symptoms, which include depression, anxiety and grief. I believe the experience of trauma and life’s various hardships is a subjective one, and I work diligently to provide individualized treatment to each person who I have the privilege to work with.

I am an expert in mental health, but you are the expert of you; together we can attain relief, balance and a fulfilling life for you!
