Katie Englert

    KATIE ENGLERT, LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) earned a BS in Family and Consumer Science from the University of Kentucky in 2005. Upon completion Katie worked as a Family and Consumer Science Extension Agent for the University of Kentucky while pursuing her MAE in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Kentucky University in 2009. Since, Katie has worked with individuals, couples, and families with mental health and behavioral needs in a variety of settings including traditional outpatient, intensive in-home, group, school based counseling and clinical management.  Katie opened Compass Counseling, LLC in Paducah in 2013 and partnered with A. Charisse Gough and Lindsey Lanham to open Compass Counseling of Owensboro, LLC in January 2015.

Scott Long

    SCOTT LONG, LPCA (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate), earned his Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2014. He completed his Internship and Practicum with Compass Counseling and with Paducah Lifeline Ministries. Scott has worked with individuals, including teens, as well as with couples and families. He is also available for reunification counseling. Scott is accepting new clients at an affordable cash rate or Kentucky Medicaid.

She has previously worked Easter Seals West Kentucky, as the Case Manager Supervisor that provide services for individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and Autism. LaShunda recently graduated from Lindsey Wilson College with her Master in Education in Mental Health Counseling. She is a National Certified Counselor. She enjoys working with individuals that are in need of parenting or reunification issues, teens, couples, families and individuals with disabilities. She is a member of American Counseling Association. LaShunda accepts Medicaid and an affordable cash rate.

Jenny Linville, LPCA

 Jenny Linville (counseling intern) earned a Masters of Theological Studies from Lipscomb University in 2013 and is currently completing a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University (to complete in December 2016).  With her educational background, Jenny is able to walk alongside people from different spiritual experiences. A recent transplant to Paducah from Nashville TN, Jenny brings experience working with individuals walking through grief and loss, individuals and families that have been affected by substance abuse, individuals experiencing depression and anxiety, as well as those going through a period of adjusting to new life circumstances.  Jenny has in a variety of settings, including intensive in-patient substance abuse, outpatient, and school based counseling, as well as both group and individual counseling.

  Lindsey Lanham, LPCC graduated with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Western Kentucky University in 2008, and has been working directly with children, adolescents and families for 8 years. Lindsey specializes in working with issues of trauma, crisis, grief, child and adolescent defiance, anxiety and adjustment to life changes. Other areas of expertise include Depression, Mood Disorders and ADHD. Lindsey is skilled and has received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Reality Therapy among additional interventions. Lindsey is dedicated to empowering youth and families to promote a life of health, hope and growth.  Lindsey is a co-owner at Compass Counseling of Owensboro.

 Jamie Jit, LPCA, earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Berea College, and Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.   She has experience with a variety of ages, and enjoys helping adolescents, adults, and families.  Jamie specializes in working with issues of grief, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, adjustment to life changes and relationship stressors.  She has led a support group for couples who suffered miscarriage/infant loss for the last four years.  Jamie has traveled extensively and served on mission trip teams, and lived overseas.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and young children, and serving in her church.
